Scott Building Company was appointed by the Insurance Assessors on behalf of the Co-owners as Principle Contractor to replace the front facade of this building on a busy main road next to a Tesco store in Dunblane.
Detailed planning and traffic management had to be undertaken to manage the safety of the public allowing access to the adjacent super store along with design and installation of temporary works for stabilisation and access.
Due the movement of the existing facade Scott Building Company were required to carefully remove the existing stone wall over the full height of the structure adjacent to the busy main access road. Stones were carefully laid aside and catalogued for reuse in rebuilding of the stone outer wall.
Scott Building Company installed new foundations for structural steel framing, erected new structural steel tying in to support floors and roof. New internal block wall was constructed and the existing stone facade was rebuilt.
New windows and doors were installed internally and externally and the existing roof was repaired with new timber, slate, guttering and downpipes. Repairs to existing electrics and gas heating was undertaken and commissioned.
